This large-scale production was commissioned by the Hungarian Goverment to mark a national anniversary. The work consists of 5 live-action VR films, which can be viewed at an exhibition. This was one of the first live action films ever shot in VR in the world,, for which I had to develop the various technical tools. The presentation could be viewed in a VR headset. The video and sound completely surround you and interactively immerse you in the story.

Final Cut: Ladies and Gentlemen (2012)

Final Cut: Ladies and Gentlemen is a 2012 Hungarian experimental romantic film. It is directed by György Pálfi. The film is a mashup realized with 451 clips from the most famous films in history. The "montage film" was selected as the closing film for the 2012 Cannes Classics section.
Synopsis
The film tells about a love story between a man and a woman, told using scenes edited together from hundreds of other films from various genres.
Release
Final Cut: Ladies and Gentlemen was screened in numerous film festivals in 2012. It was officially released in 2016 on YouTube and in 2017 on Vimeo.

Theater performance of the Moving House Theater Company, premiered at the Berlin Art Weeks, after which it was shown at the Bonn Biennale, Mulhouse, the Avignon Festival, the Polverig Festival in Italy, and in Cividale del Friuli, Caracas, among others.
The performance have been a regular success at the major international theatre festivals (Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgrade, London, Nancy, Avignon, Caracas).
Some of the awards:
European Festivals Awards, Sarajevo International Best Performance, San Antonio Festival: Best Direction, Set, Performance.
The performance has been broadcast on televison by ARTE, 3sat, and a documentary film about this work by Deutsche Welle Television."

A large-scale interactive exhibition in a castle. The many rooms are filled with multi-speaker surround sound. In a separate section, a 360 degree, 3m high panoramic projection of 4 different films with 360 degree surround sound.

Hukkle (2002)

Hukkle (meaning "hiccup") is a 2002 experimental Hungarian film directed by György Pálfi about the daily life of people in a random village.
With (almost) no dialogue in the movie, only the events around the villagers, animals, and plants make sound and form a special musicality.
The film was released in 41 countries.

Hybrid Animal Sound Design Competition Winners

Thanks to all that participated in the first ever (to our knowledge) Hybrid Animal Sound Design Competition! There were nearly 190 incredible entries from many very talented sound designers. We were beyond impressed with the creativity and enthusiasm on display in the competition.
The winner took home over $6,000 in prizes from Avid, iZotope, Rode Microphones, and Pro Sound Effects. Thanks to our sponsors for making the Hybrid Animal Sound Design Competition such a success!

The Grand Prize Winner Balazs Barna was chosen by Ken Skogulund (award winning re-recording mixer), Ric Viers (sound designer, author, and sound effects producer), and our very own Douglas Price (founder and president of PSE) for his "Cicadagoat" sound design.
Balazs created the imaginary Cicadagoat using "DomesticSheep" from the Rare Animals Sound Effects Library and recordings of cicadas in his garden.
